Although you might have specialization in your foundation stage, once you move into advanced stage, you will have rather the same scope of jobs during your internship:

  • Equity research with modeling focus (most popular track & with cost competitive classroom option): building summary financial statement; building a integrated forecast model; Excel skills for equity research; researching on company’s background; writing investment summary; building company valuation model.
  • Equity bottom up style investment: industrial analysis; reading IPO prospectus; zoom into a company; building a quick financial model; peer analysis.
  • Equity top down style investment: type of fund and benchmark; important macro data and other key indicators; industry – demand/supply, pricing, raw materials, policy, macro; constructing country and regional funds; stock picking.
  • Equity portfolio construction: type of fund and benchmark; macro data and indicators analysis; industry analysis – demand/supply, pricing, raw materials, policy, industry-specific drivers; constructing country and regional funds (relative and absolute returns; stock weightings); stock picking; case studies.
